ScreenShot of crime if banned
i haven't been banned from the game, but every once in a while i see threads in the question forums about getting banned for no reason.
i would like ANET to start e-mailing screens of the crime and send it to the defendants e-mail, instead of banning people and then have them e-mail anet 5, 10 times to get an answer of why and then posting it on the forums.
Anet should prolly be doing this anyways instead of using the BECAUSE reason. i know they have a lot to look after, but being banned is a serious offense and evidence should be required, or at least an inquiry/warning before the ban is confirmed.

I understand the logic behind your suggestion, however it would only be a feasible solution in a very small number of situations due to the fact that bans rarely occur in response to a single infraction. It is a series of EULA breaking actions or a pattern of behavior that goes against the EULA that gets a player banned.

They don't exist (unless a users submitted).
They do have access to all trade transactions logs and chat logs that they can and do pull up information on. There are bans that have nothing to do with user submission due to EULA viloation.

Let's say someone reports you by taking a screenshot and sending it in. Then ANet provides you with that screenshot. Guess what? Now you know who reported you. That is a bad idea for ANet. Reporting should have a certain level of anonimity.
And as Hoyt said, oftentimes there is no screenshot to speak of. It could be a series of infractions. It could be something which has no screenshot, such as EBaying gold. It could be hacking.
And I could see why they wouldn't respond to emails from people asking why they were banned. I work at a call center, and let me tell you, people will constantly lie to you, call you a liar, try to pull a fast one on you, pretend they are totally innocent, etc. It's fun when you catch them in a lie. But anyway, I'm sure ANet has a variety of tools to detect misbehaviour and they have to trust that. I guess I'm kind of getting off of the OP's original topic though.

I don't see why that is a proberlem its not as if your going to hunt them down in RL and kill them while they sleep
I do think you should be given a screen shot of your bad deed perhaps if arena net says this will be given to the person if they require evidense...that way if you really don't want them to see your name you can paint over your name.

second part would be a violation of privacy policy.
